Our Story
Our story started in the late summer of 2021. I was working for my church and a funeral home. Everyday was pretty much the same, I didn’t have any real goals or ambition to change my situation. After living that way for a couple months, I became frustrated with being unfulfilled in my professional life. By this time I was working two jobs, 1 was at a juice bar, and it became very physically demanding and overwhelming, I had to leave after 8 months. During my time working at the juice bar, I fell in love with juicing, I knew I wanted to continue juicing for myself and others, but I also knew I didn’t want a store front. I knew I wasn’t ready to deal with what comes with a brick and mortar business so started researching the juice industry via social media.
The first couple of people I followed are @juicingwithja, @juicebaeinthewild, and @Julianthejuiceman. I saw that Julian was making and shipping juices safely across the nation, which is exactly what I wanted to do. I was hesitant at first because there’s no foot traffic online , I didn’t know anything about shipping juice , and I didn’t want to accrue debt with large bank/ business loan. I knew I wanted to keep juicing but I also knew I wasn’t going back to the juice bar. I needed to do this in a different way. I began research on juicing fruits and veggies, invested in juicing supplies and testing flavors with close friends and family. To my surprise I received great feedback and suggestions, made a juice for my grandmother that she said helped her regain her energy after chemo, so I knew at that point I was going all in. A lady from my church bought 9 beet juices for her sister who’s working to lower her blood pressure, my moms co worker has also lowered her blood pressure levels after drinking our beet juice blend, these are the small wins the helped me commit to this business. There were some struggles as well, I ran out of money a couple times, working with seasonal fruit, inconsistent produce size which means inconsistent profits, delivery delays, labeling/ printing issues, keeping supplies on hand, and more. It was quite difficult to deal with, but I knew I couldn’t quit, so the result of all these mistakes was better research, better preparation, down sizing, and appreciating the small wins.
During my research, I began paying more attention to small and online juice businesses. One of those businesses was Julians Juice Box and while on their website I discovered Julian’s juice business coaching program, once I read the contents of the program, I knew it was exactly what I needed to get my business going in the right direction. I started the coaching program with Julian and I’ve been scaling and growing my business in the right direction ever since.
